Job Overview / Description: Fleet Internship
The Fleet Internship provides structured workplace exposure within the Logistics function at Coca-Cola Beverages South Africa, aimed at developing practical skills in fleet operations, compliance, safety, and stakeholder management. The internship is designed for unemployed youth seeking hands-on experience in managing commercial vehicle fleets within a large FMCG environment.
The intern supports fleet operations by assisting with legislative compliance, safety, health and environmental management, contractor coordination, and administrative activities. The role contributes to ensuring that fleet assets are maintained, operated safely, and managed efficiently in line with company policies and legal requirements.
Through this internship, participants gain valuable operational, technical, and professional experience that supports future career opportunities in fleet management, logistics, and supply chain operations.
Key Duties and Responsibilities

Support the management of fleet operations

Assist with ensuring compliance with relevant legislative and regulatory requirements

Support stakeholder and contractor management related to fleet services

Assist with Safety, Health and Environmental (SHE) compliance and initiatives

Perform fleet-related administrative duties and record-keeping
Minimum Requirements

Grade 12 with Mathematics or Mathematics Literacy (minimum 40% pass rate)

Trade Test in Diesel Mechanic or Fitter

South African citizen

Employment Equity candidate

Must be unemployed at the time of appointment

Aged between 18 and 35 years

Two South African languages passed at a minimum of 40%

Driver’s licence (advantageous)
