Role Purpose
The Financial Associate is responsible for marketing AVBOB’s funeral insurance, savings plans, and related financial products, as well as recruiting funerals for the Funeral Division. The role focuses on building relationships with clients, growing the customer base, and delivering professional financial services in line with FAIS legislation.
Key Responsibilities

Market and sell funeral insurance, savings plans, and related AVBOB products

Recruit funerals for the Funeral Division

Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients

Identify customer needs and provide suitable insurance and savings solutions

Ensure compliance with FAIS, company policies, and regulatory requirements

Maintain accurate client records and complete required administrative duties

Achieve sales and performance targets while upholding AVBOB’s values and reputation
Minimum Qualifications & Compliance Requirements

Matric (Grade 12) and/or tertiary education with 30 credits on NQF Level 4
-
Full compliance with FAIS Fit and Proper requirements, including:

Relevant NQF Level 4 credits or FAIS-recognised qualification (based on entry year into the industry)

Clear ITC (credit) record

Clear criminal record
-
RE 5 qualification (advantageous)
Experience Required

Previous marketing or sales experience (insurance experience advantageous)
Skills & Competencies

Valid driver’s licence with own reliable transport and cell phone
