Project Objective
The objective of this tender is to appoint a suitably qualified contractor to reconfigure the existing Post Office at Hoffman Square into a Ticket Sales Facility for Mangaung Metropolitan Municipality. The project aims to enhance municipal service delivery by transforming the current facility into a functional, customer-oriented ticket sales environment.
Scope of Work
The scope includes, but is not limited to:
Reconfiguration and refurbishment of the existing Post Office building
Conversion of internal spaces to support ticket sales operations
Installation of counters, service areas, and customer waiting spaces
Minor structural, electrical, and finishing works as required
All building works necessary to make the facility operational
Compliance with municipal building, safety, and accessibility standards
Technical Requirements
Tenderers must:
Hold a valid CIDB grading of 2GB or higher (or 1GB PE where applicable)
Execute works in accordance with approved drawings and specifications
Comply with all municipal building regulations, occupational health and safety standards, and quality requirements
Deliver refurbishment and construction works within the stipulated timeframe
Skills and Experience Requirements
The successful bidder must demonstrate:
Experience in building reconfiguration, refurbishment, or renovation projects
Capability in managing construction, finishing, and service installations
Adequate technical skills, labour, and supervision capacity
Proven project management ability to deliver quality workmanship on time
