Purpose of the Role
To ensure the safe and timely delivery of goods to and from clients, while following company procedures and maintaining high service standards.
Minimum Requirements
Grade 12 / Matric
At least 3 years’ delivery experience
Valid driver’s licence with PDP (Essential)
Good time management and communication skills
Ability to work well under pressure
Honest, reliable, and sober habits
Clear criminal record
Key Responsibilities
Conduct vehicle inspections before and after trips.
Submit inspection lists to Dispatch Supervisor weekly.
Report any vehicle faults or errors immediately.
Verify parcels with supervisor before loading (follow dispatch procedures).
Deliver parcels as per route schedule and trip sheet.
Ensure Proof of Delivery (POD) procedures are followed.
Manage and return all documents and collection slips accurately.
Take responsibility for outstanding trip sheets and POD queries.
No stock transfers between customer shops allowed.
Keep vehicle clean and well-maintained.
Report delivery issues or POD problems promptly to the dispatch supervisor.
