Purpose of the Role
To retain and grow a portfolio of business clients by offering tailored business banking products and services. The Business Banker operates primarily from a business centre, providing expert advice, managing client relationships, and identifying value-adding financial solutions to support business growth.
Key Responsibilities

Manage and develop a portfolio of business clients.

Identify and implement financial product solutions from Capitec’s business banking range.

Prepare and motivate credit applications with supporting financial analysis.

Maintain high-quality service standards to ensure client satisfaction and retention.

Exercise cost control and contribute to sales and revenue growth.

Ensure compliance with relevant banking regulations, acts, and codes.
Experience Requirements
Minimum:
-
At least 3 years of banking experience.
-
Proven experience in managing a portfolio of business customers.
-
Strong background in financial analysis and credit application preparation.
-
Experience in sales management and cost control.
Ideal:
-
1+ year specifically in a Business Banking environment focused on credit motivation.
Qualifications
Minimum:

Diploma in Commerce or Finance
Ideal/Preferred:

FAIS accredited as a Key Individual and approved by the FSCA
Knowledge Areas

Customer Relationship Management (CRM) principles

Financial statement and ratio interpretation

Business banking products and solutions for SMEs

Understanding of collateral, balance sheets, and business entities

Companies and Intellectual Properties Registration Act (CIPC)
