Tender Objective
The objective of this tender is to appoint a suitably qualified consultant to undertake the rehabilitation of the waste disposal site in Theunissen/Masilo.
The project aims to:

Scope of Work
The appointed consultant will be responsible for:
Site Assessment
- Conducting environmental and technical assessments of the waste disposal site.
- Evaluating current landfill conditions.
- Identifying environmental risks and compliance gaps.
Planning and Design
- Developing rehabilitation plans and methodologies.
- Preparing technical specifications and designs.
- Recommending corrective measures and environmental interventions.
Environmental Compliance
- Ensuring compliance with environmental legislation and standards.
- Assisting with environmental authorisations and regulatory requirements.
- Preparing environmental reports and documentation.
Project Management
- Coordinating rehabilitation activities.
- Monitoring project implementation.
- Managing project schedules and deliverables.
Reporting
- Preparing technical reports.
- Submitting progress reports.
- Providing final rehabilitation and closure recommendations.
Technical Requirements
Applicants must comply with the following:
Professional Registration
Key personnel must be registered with:
Engineering Council of South Africa
as either:
- Professional Engineer (Pr Eng), or
- Professional Engineering Technologist (Pr Tech)
Ownership Requirement
At least 50% ownership of the consulting firm must be held by ECSA-registered professionals.
Central Supplier Database (CSD)
- Registration on the National Treasury CSD.
- Submission of the CSD registration summary report.
Tax Compliance
- Valid tax status verified through the CSD.
Municipal Compliance
- Latest municipal rates and taxes clearance certificate.
- Municipal accounts must not be outstanding for more than 90 days.
- Lease agreement required where applicable.
Tender Documentation
- Completion and signing of all MBD forms.
- Submission of all compulsory supporting documents.
