Tender Description
The Department of Health Free State invites suitably qualified contractors to submit quotations for the repair and maintenance of a door at the Universitas Academic Hospital Annex, Radiation Oncology department, in Bloemfontein.
The work focuses on repairing the existing top and bottom door rails and installing new wheels to restore the door’s smooth, safe and reliable operation.
Scope of Work
The contractor will be required to undertake door repair and associated maintenance work, including:
- Fixing and securing the top door rail.
- Fixing and securing the bottom door rail.
- Removing existing worn or defective door wheels where necessary.
- Installing new wheels compatible with the existing door system.
- Aligning and adjusting the door and rail system.
- Ensuring smooth and safe door movement after installation.
- Supplying the necessary labour, materials, tools and equipment.
- Completing the work while maintaining appropriate safety measures within the hospital environment.
- Minimising disruption to activities within the Radiation Oncology department.

Requirements
Prospective bidders must:
- Hold a minimum CIDB grading of 1GB or higher.
- Have the technical ability to undertake building maintenance and door repair works.
- Have suitable experience in the installation, repair or maintenance of door rails, wheels and related hardware.
- Provide appropriately skilled personnel to perform the required work.
- Comply with applicable health and safety requirements.
- Be able to work within an operational healthcare facility.
- Follow all requirements contained in the official tender documentation.
- Submit the tender using the prescribed tender documents.
- Attend the compulsory clarification meeting.
- Comply with all prescribed procedures for the sealing, addressing, delivery and submission of the tender.
