Job Overview
The Professional Nurse at Mediclinic Bloemfontein is responsible for delivering safe, high-quality nursing care within a multi-disciplinary team. The role involves leading and coordinating nursing teams to ensure optimal patient care and positive patient experiences. The nurse ensures that all care is provided in accordance with professional scope of practice regulations and nursing standards.
Key responsibilities include identifying and managing risks, maintaining accurate clinical records, ensuring infection prevention and control, and supporting a learning environment for staff development. The Professional Nurse also ensures that all stock and equipment used are correctly documented and contributes to the overall quality and safety of patient care within the facility.

Required Education
Essential:
Diploma leading to registration as a General Nurse OR
4-year Nursing Diploma or Bachelor of Nursing
Desired:
Postgraduate Advanced Diploma in Midwifery
Postgraduate Diploma in Nursing (e.g., Critical Care, Emergency Care, Peri-operative Nursing) if placed in a specialist unit

Basic Life Support training (ACLS/ATLS/PALS for specialised wards)
