    Scope of Supply:

    This tender is for the supply and delivery of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to multiple departments within the Mohokare Local Municipality. The goal is to ensure safe and compliant working conditions by providing locally manufactured, SANS-compliant protective gear.

    Departments to be Supplied:

    • Technical Services

    • Water and Waste Water

    • Community Services

    • General Workers

    Items to be Supplied (Not Limited To):

    • Flame-retardant overalls and jackets

    • Safety boots and antistatic socks

    • Reflective vests and waterproof rain suits

    • Safety goggles and full-face respirators

    • PVC aprons and chemical-resistant gloves

    • Dust masks and spare filters

    • Safety helmets with adjustable straps

    • Ear plugs, balaclavas, and sun protection wear

    Contract Duration:

    Three (3) years, renewable based on performance.

    Delivery Requirements:

    • Delivery must be completed within 21 working days after appointment.

    • Delivery must be to designated municipal departments in Zastron.

    • 100% of the products must be locally manufactured – proof required.

    Mandatory Technical Requirements:

    All PPE must:

    • Be SABS and SANS compliant (e.g., SANS 434, ISO 6530, SANS 50471).

    • Be suitable for industrial use, with options for:

      • Flame-retardant

      • Acid/chemical resistance

      • UV protection

      • Antibacterial/antistatic features

    • Meet all durability, safety, and sizing specifications in the bid documents.

    Evaluation Criteria:

    A minimum functionality score of 80% is required for consideration.

    Key Evaluation Points:

    • Experience: At least 5 previous contracts in PPE supply

    • Proof of local manufacturing

    • Compliance with all technical standards

    • Valid documentation (see below)

    Minimum Submission Requirements:

    • Valid Tax Clearance Certificate / PIN

    • Proof of Company Registration

    • Valid B-BBEE Certificate or Affidavit

    • Certified Municipal Account (or lease agreement with landlord’s account)

    • Proof of local content (manufacturer’s certificates or declarations)

    • List of relevant previous contracts and references

    • Technical datasheets or samples (if required in tender docs)
