Role Purpose:
To manage the end-to-end supply chain cycle, including purchasing, pricing, supplier negotiations, stock accuracy, operational reporting, and procurement, ensuring commercial decisions align with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Purchasing and Pricing
Manage product purchases and maintain accurate pricing in all systems.
Implement and update promotional pricing and deal structures.
Ensure pricing aligns with margin targets and business objectives.
Supplier Negotiations & Deal Management
Engage suppliers on costs, terms, deals, and service levels.
Drive negotiations to support profitability and strategy.
Maintain accurate records of agreements, promotion grids, and deal cycles.
Understand and manage mark-up processes.
Virtuous Cycle & ERP Stock Systems
Maintain accurate stock levels and proper cycle alignment.
Identify and resolve discrepancies across purchasing, stock, and sales.
Support demand planning, replenishment decisions, and reverse logistics.
Reporting and Insights
Produce accurate reporting on pricing, stock, purchasing, and cycle performance.
Provide insights to guide operational decisions and commercial strategy.
Highlight risks, variances, and improvement opportunities.
Stakeholder Engagement
Collaborate with internal teams: finance, sales, warehouse, and management.
Liaise professionally with external suppliers and partners.
Ensure smooth communication across all supply chain touchpoints.
Requirements
Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, or related field.
Minimum 5 years’ experience in analytical or commercial operations roles.
Strong system knowledge and high proficiency in data and reporting tools.
Detail-oriented with numerical accuracy.
Solid understanding of the virtuous cycle from purchasing to sales.
Ability to translate data into strategic business insights.
Strong interpersonal skills for internal and external engagement.
Based in Ladybrand or Bloemfontein; able to travel within SADC.
Extensive experience in stock management, procurement, B2B operations, and forecasting.
Valid driver’s license.
Screening includes background check and polygraph testing.
