Role Purpose:
To operate heavy-duty vehicles and machinery safely and efficiently for site operations, ensuring timely transport of materials, equipment, and personnel, while complying with road safety and company procedures.
Key Responsibilities
Operate Code 14 vehicles (trucks, tippers) for transporting construction materials, equipment, and supplies.
Perform daily vehicle inspections and report defects or maintenance needs.
Comply with all traffic laws, site safety standards, and transport policies.
Load and offload materials safely, coordinating with site teams.
Maintain accurate delivery/trip records including logbooks and fuel usage.
Assist with site setup and logistical operations as directed.
Follow schedules and routes to ensure efficiency.
Perform basic vehicle maintenance (oil, water, tyres, brakes).
Uphold professionalism, safety, and teamwork on-site and off-site.
Minimum Requirements
Grade 10 / equivalent qualification.
Clear criminal record.
Valid Code 14 (EC) driver’s licence with PrDP (Professional Driving Permit).
Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Code 14 driver in logistics.
Ability to read and follow delivery schedules, maps, and work instructions.
