Job Overview / Description: Logistics Intern
The Logistics Intern role provides practical workplace exposure within the Logistics and Supply Chain environment at Coca-Cola Beverages South Africa. The internship is designed to equip graduates with hands-on experience in warehouse operations, distribution processes, stock management, and supply chain coordination while applying theoretical knowledge gained through formal studies.
Reporting to the Training Controller / Team Leader Warehouse, the intern supports day-to-day logistics operations, administrative coordination, and compliance with safety, quality, and operational standards. The role contributes to ensuring efficient stock flow, accurate inventory management, safe transportation of goods, and high levels of customer service.
Through this internship, the successful candidate will develop essential logistics, operational, and professional skills, supporting future career growth within supply chain and logistics functions.
Key Duties and Responsibilities

Perform administrative and coordination activities related to Supply Chain Maturity Assessments

Assist with receiving stock into wholesale or retail outlets

Maintain accurate stock balances and record stock movement on the stock management system

Support safe delivery of stock to customers in line with legal and organisational requirements

Assist with stock flow through the Distribution Centre (DC) / Warehouse
-
Support packing of stock in designated storage areas
-
Assist with customer engagement to deliver required volumes
-
Support distribution processes and contract management activities
-
Participate in stock take procedures and asset management
-
Apply basic financial acumen in logistics operations
-
Ensure compliance with Occupational Health and Safety legislation and safety procedures
-
Identify hazards and respond appropriately to emergency situations
-
Maintain internal and external housekeeping standards
-
Support customer service delivery and satisfaction levels

Minimum Requirements
