    Role Purpose

    Lead the dealership to meet profit and performance targets across sales (vehicles, parts, labour), ensure compliance, drive business growth, and maintain strong manufacturer relationships.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Financial: Deliver bottom-line profit, manage cash flow, stock, assets, and ROI.

    • Operational: Oversee all dealership departments; ensure quality, service, and compliance with franchise/OEM and internal standards.

    • Strategic Growth: Develop business strategies to increase market share and profitability.

    • People Leadership: Act as a “manager of managers”; drive high-performance culture; recruit and retain talent; coach and motivate teams.

    • Customer & Compliance: Improve customer acquisition and retention; ensure full legislative and policy compliance (OHS, FICA, NCA, etc.).

    Qualifications & Experience Needed

    Must-Haves:

    • 8+ years in retail motor industry, 5+ years in dealer operations management.

    • Strong financial management and understanding of vehicle financing, stock, and parts.

    • Track record in vehicle sales, service & labour management.

    • Matric (Grade 12).

    Preferred:

    • Tertiary business/commercial qualification (Sales/Marketing ideal).

    • Recognised management or leadership diploma/certificate.

    • Experience with Drive DMS, Excel, and Outlook.

    • OEM brand experience (Volkswagen or Audi a plus).

    • Social media marketing knowledge.
