Job Overview
The Assistant Officer Materials Planning (MRP Controller) is responsible for analysing, forecasting, and planning inventory requirements to ensure customer needs are met while achieving inventory objectives. This role supports the Materials Management department within Eskom’s Central East Cluster, focusing on material requirements planning, inventory optimisation, and customer service.
The ideal candidate will have strong analytical and planning skills, a solid understanding of inventory management principles, and experience working with SAP and Microsoft Office tools.
Purpose of the Role
To manage and support inventory planning activities, ensuring optimal material availability, accurate forecasting, and effective inventory control to support operational requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Gather and analyse inventory data to meet demand requirements
Conduct inventory parameter and data maintenance
Perform material requirements planning and forecasting
Provide customer service and material availability support to end users
Manage consignment stock and optimise minimum control stock inventory
Ensure compliance with Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) regulations

Minimum Requirements
Qualifications
National Diploma in Logistics / Supply Chain Management / Finance (NQF 6, 240 credits)
Experience
Minimum 2 years’ experience in Supply Chain Operations
