    Job Overview

    The Finance Administrator supports the financial operations of the Protection Services department. The role includes managing financial transactions, performing reconciliations, ensuring compliance with procurement and finance policies, maintaining records, and providing administrative support. This is a hands-on role requiring attention to detail, organizational skills, and collaboration with multiple stakeholders.

     Key Duties and Responsibilities

    • Perform monthly reconciliation of petty cash.

    • Arrange travel and accommodation bookings for the department.

    • Create interdepartmental journal transfers for ad hoc services rendered.

    • Ensure procurement aligns with finance and procurement policies; obtain quotations as required.

    • Verify correctness of invoices and ensure goods/services are procured against correct entities.

    • Monitor and generate monthly departmental expenditure reports per entity.

    • Keep records of finance-related documents (quotes, invoices, purchase orders).

    • Process invoices for payment and handle ad hoc purchase orders (POs) for events like graduations and registrations.

    • Manage the departmental assets register and perform asset audits.

    • Balance daily disc sales and paid traffic fines.

    • Create invoices for external stakeholders using ad hoc security services.

    • Ensure proper documentation is saved on SharePoint for each transaction.

    • Perform monthly inventory stock takes and manage stationery orders.

     Inherent Requirements

    • Grade 12 or National Vocational Certificate (NQF Level 4) – proof required.

    • Relevant experience relating to finance administration duties.

    • Valid South African driver’s license.

     Recommendations

    • Minimum 1 year of relevant working experience.

    • N6 / National Diploma in Finance or Supply Chain Management is advantageous.
