Job Description
As a Rotating Artisan / Foreman, you will perform hands-on mechanical work while also overseeing tasks related to rotating equipment such as turbines, compressors, and pumps. You will play a key role in ensuring equipment reliability, safety, and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Mechanical Maintenance & Refurbishment
- Repair and refurbish gas meters and mechanical equipment
- Perform fault finding and troubleshooting
- Support plant operations with maintenance activities
Rotating Equipment Expertise
- Maintain and service:
- Gas turbines
- Centrifugal and screw compressors
- Pumps (centrifugal & reciprocating)
- Monitor equipment condition (vibration analysis, oil sampling)
Technical Skills & Operations
- Operate lathe and milling machines (basic level)
- Conduct statutory inspections
- Apply Risk-Based Inspection (RBI) principles
- Perform basic rigging tasks
Systems & Compliance
- Follow Management of Change (MOC) procedures
- Participate in Root Cause Analysis (RCA)
- Use Works Management Systems (WMS)
- Ensure QA/QC standards are met
Safety & Regulations
- Apply knowledge of hazardous area classifications
- Comply with OHS Act Pressure Equipment Regulations (PER)
- Maintain high safety standards at all times
Minimum Requirements
- Occupational Trade Certificate (Mechanical or related)
- Minimum 2 years relevant experience
