Tender Overview
Postbank SOC Ltd invites qualified service providers to submit quotations for the maintenance and servicing of the Eaton 9390 120kVA Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) system at its Freepen Building in Bloemfontein. The successful bidder will ensure the UPS system remains fully operational to support uninterrupted power supply and business continuity over a two-year contract period.
Tender Objective
The objective of this tender is to appoint a competent service provider to:
- Maintain and service the Eaton 9390 UPS system.
- Ensure uninterrupted backup power for Postbank operations.
- Minimise equipment downtime through preventative maintenance.
- Extend the operational lifespan of the UPS system.
- Support business continuity and compliance with operational requirements.
Scope of Work
The successful service provider will be responsible for:
UPS Maintenance and Servicing
- Perform scheduled maintenance on the Eaton 9390 120kVA UPS (Serial Number: 80000035).
- Conduct routine inspections, testing, and preventative maintenance.
- Troubleshoot and repair faults where required.
- Ensure the UPS operates efficiently and reliably.
Technical Support
- Provide technical support throughout the contract period.
- Ensure technicians are OEM-certified or possess equivalent manufacturer certification.
- Respond to scheduled maintenance requirements promptly.
Service Schedule
- Conduct four (4) maintenance visits per year.
- Provide maintenance services over a two-year contract period.
Technical Requirements
The successful bidder must:
- Have a minimum of five (5) years’ experience maintaining Eaton UPS systems or equivalent brands.
- Provide a company profile detailing previous UPS maintenance projects.
- Employ technicians with valid OEM certification (Eaton or equivalent).
- Hold valid public liability insurance.
- Possess a valid business licence.
- Comply with Postbank’s Standard Conditions of Purchase and the National Treasury General Conditions of Contract.
- Complete and submit all required Standard Bidding Documents (SBDs) and annexures.
Minimum Requirements
Interested service providers must demonstrate:
- Proven experience in UPS maintenance and servicing.
- Technical expertise in backup power systems.
- Qualified OEM-certified technicians.
- Experience supporting critical electrical infrastructure.
- Valid insurance and statutory compliance documentation.
- Ability to deliver scheduled preventative maintenance and technical support.
