Job Description
The CIT Team Leader position is based at the Fidelity Services Group Welkom Branch. The successful candidate will assist the Operations Manager within the Cash in Transit (CIT) division and ensure that CIT operations are carried out according to established procedures, schedules and security requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Take full responsibility and accountability for the CIT vehicle, including reporting mechanical faults, refuelling, operating security systems and maintaining vehicle cleanliness.
- Assist with daily operational requirements.
- Ensure the security and effective management of CIT schedules while in transit.
- Drive the CIT vehicle when required and applicable.
- Assist with accident prevention and reporting.
- Maintain communication with controllers throughout operations.
- Conduct security drills and maintain a high level of security awareness.
- Take preventative action regarding suspicious activities.
- Liaise professionally with clients, employees and management.
- Complete daily rosters, reports and other required documentation.
- Report operational delays to the Operations Manager immediately.
- Ensure risk management and compliance requirements are maintained.
Minimum Requirements
- Clear criminal record.
- PSIRA accreditation with a minimum Grade C qualification.
- Valid Cash In Transit (CIT) certificate.
- Firearm competency with at least a handgun qualification for business purposes.
- Computer literate – compulsory.
- At least 3 years’ experience in the security industry or a similar role; experience at Fidelity Services Group is advantageous.
- CIT management or supervisory experience is advantageous.
- Valid driver’s licence is advantageous.
- Own transport is advantageous.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Willingness to work irregular hours.
- Clear disciplinary record.
