Tender Description
The Agricultural Research Council is inviting suitable suppliers to submit quotations for the supply and delivery of glassine bags required for agricultural research and related scientific activities.
The opportunity is suitable for businesses that manufacture, distribute or supply specialised paper and laboratory/packaging consumables.
Scope of Supply
The successful supplier will be required to provide:
- Envelope glassine bags
- Size: 210 mm × 65 mm
- Packaging: 1,000 bags per pack
- Total requirement: 20 packs
- Estimated total quantity: 20,000 glassine bags
Delivery must be made to the ARC’s specified premises in Bethlehem.
Delivery Requirements
The tender information states that delivery must be completed within 10 calendar days of quotation submission.
Suppliers should therefore have sufficient stock, production capacity and logistics arrangements to meet the required delivery period.
Pricing Requirements
Quotations must:
- Be submitted in South African Rand (ZAR).
- Include VAT.
- Include delivery costs.
- Include insurance and applicable taxes.
- Remain valid for at least 60 days.
- Not be subject to post-submission price or delivery amendments.
Mandatory Documentation
Bidders should submit:
- Valid Central Supplier Database (CSD) registration number.
- Full CSD report.
- Completed and signed applicable SBD forms.
- Quotation on official company letterhead.
- Authorised signature on the quotation.
- Relevant B-BBEE documentation or sworn affidavit where required.
Contract Requirements
The successful supplier may only proceed with supply once the ARC has issued an official purchase order.
The National Treasury General Conditions of Contract (GCC) and the procuring entity’s supply chain management requirements will apply.
