Job Description
The Reliever Custodian is responsible for the secure transportation, collection and delivery of clients’ money, including providing proof of collection and delivery.
The successful candidates will work as relievers at branches across the Welkom region and must be willing to travel extensively throughout the Free State.
Key Responsibilities
- Take full responsibility and accountability for collecting and delivering clients’ money.
- Receive, sort and distribute consignments.
- Provide the required proof of delivery and collection.
- Report all operational delays to the Operations Manager immediately.
- Assist with incident prevention and reporting.
- Maintain radio communication with controllers.
- Take preventative action when suspicious activity is identified.
- Ensure client cash and consignments are handled securely and responsibly.
- Maintain a high level of alertness during all operations.
Minimum Requirements
- Clear criminal record.
- PSIRA accreditation with at least Grade C.
- Valid C1/EC/EC1 driver’s licence – compulsory.
- Completed firearm training in handgun.
- Valid SAPS firearm competency certificate.
- Valid CIT certificate.
- At least 2 years’ experience in the security industry or a similar role is advantageous, particularly experience at FSG.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Willingness to travel extensively across the Free State.
