    Job Overview

    The Clinical Nurse Practitioner (CNP) is responsible for providing comprehensive primary healthcare and community-based nursing services within clinics and healthcare facilities in the Mangaung Metro District. The incumbent will assess, diagnose, treat, counsel, and manage patients while promoting disease prevention, health education, and community wellness.

    The position combines clinical nursing, health promotion, administration, education, and research responsibilities to improve healthcare outcomes within communities.

    Minimum Requirements

    Educational Qualifications

    Applicants must possess:

    • Senior Certificate (Grade 12).
    • Diploma or Degree in Nursing or equivalent qualification that allows registration as a Professional Nurse.

    Professional Registration

    • Current registration with the South African Nursing Council as a Professional Nurse.

    Post-Basic Qualification

    A post-basic nursing qualification:

    • Minimum duration of one year.
    • Accredited by the South African Nursing Council.
    • Registered in terms of Government Notice R212.
    • Relevant to the applicable nursing specialty.

    Experience

    • Minimum 4 years appropriate and recognizable nursing experience after registration as a Professional Nurse in General Nursing.

    Key Duties and Responsibilities

    1. Provision of Quality Comprehensive Community Healthcare

    • Provide comprehensive primary healthcare services.
    • Assess, diagnose, and manage patients.
