    Job Description

    The Supply Chain Management (SCM) Clerk Supervisor is responsible for supervising and coordinating supply chain management functions, including procurement, stock control, supplier administration, invoice processing, and general administrative support. The successful candidate will ensure compliance with Public Service supply chain policies and contribute to the efficient management of resources within the SAPS.

    Key Responsibilities

    Supply Chain Management

    • Perform requisition and acquisition of goods and services.
    • Distribute stock and service orders from provisioning stores.
    • Receive equipment, goods, and services.
    • Process invoice administration.
    • Issue consumable stock and equipment.
    • Monitor and control stock levels.

    Procurement Administration

    • Maintain supplier and procurement databases.
    • Ensure procurement activities comply with applicable legislation and policies.
    • Support effective supply chain management processes.

    Stock Control

    • Manage consumable equipment and stock control.
    • Maintain accurate inventory records.
    • Monitor stock movement and availability.

    Administrative Support

    • Assist with the general administration of the Supply Chain Management subsection.
    • Prepare reports and maintain SCM documentation.
    • Support efficient office administration and record management.

    Minimum Requirements

    Applicants must have:

    • A Senior Certificate (Grade 12) or National Certificate (Vocational) (NQF Level 4).
    • Four (4) years’ relevant experience in Supply Chain Management or a related field.
    • Proficiency in at least two official languages, one of which must be English.
    • South African citizenship (proof must be provided on the day of the interview).
