Job Description
The Human Resource Clerk Supervisor is responsible for coordinating and supervising a wide range of Human Resource Management (HRM) functions. The successful candidate will support employee lifecycle management, personnel administration, performance management, leave administration, disciplinary processes, and compliance with Public Service legislation and SAPS human resource policies.
Key Responsibilities
Human Resource Management
- Coordinate all Human Resource Management (HRM) activities.
- Support employee relations and lifecycle management.
- Administer human resource utilisation functions.
- Ensure compliance with HR policies and Public Service regulations.
Personnel Administration
- Administer and manage:
- Employee leave
- Transfers
- Promotions
- Service terminations
- Discharges
- Retirements
- Pension-related matters
- Maintain accurate personnel records and employee databases.
- Capture, verify, and submit employee information on HR systems.
Employee Wellness Administration
- Process applications relating to:
- Medical boards
- Disability boards
- Stress and depression cases
- Alcohol-related cases
- Death benefit matters
Performance Management
- Administer and monitor the employee performance management process.
- Ensure compliance with the Performance Enhancement Process (PEP).
- Monitor progress and maintain performance documentation.
- Process employee incentives, rewards, and pay progression.
Employee Relations
- Register, process, coordinate, and finalise:
- Employee grievances
- Disciplinary matters
- Ensure compliance with applicable labour policies and procedures.
Reporting and Administration
- Compile and submit:
- HR statistics
- Personnel reports
- Employment Equity reports
- Performance management reports
- Other administrative reports
- Support the general administration of the HR subsection.
- Ensure proper record management and regulatory compliance.
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must have:
- Grade 12 (Senior Certificate), NCV Level 4, or an equivalent NQF Level 4 qualification recognised by SAQA.
- A minimum of 4 years’ relevant experience in the field of the post.
Added Advantages
- A relevant 3-year Diploma or Degree (NQF Level 6 or higher) recognised by SAQA.
- Relevant training courses in Human Resource Management.
- A valid light motor vehicle driver’s licence.
