    Job Description

    The Finance Clerk: Supervisor is responsible for supervising and providing financial administrative support within the SAPS Finance Section. The role includes managing station revenue funds, administering advances and claims, maintaining financial records, and ensuring compliance with Public Service financial policies and procedures.

    Key Responsibilities

    Financial Administration

    • Provide financial administrative support to the finance section.
    • Process and maintain financial records and documentation.
    • Ensure compliance with Public Service financial policies and procedures.

    Revenue Fund Management

    • Maintain the station revenue fund (cash).
    • Monitor and control cash handling processes.
    • Ensure accurate recording and reconciliation of financial transactions.

    Advances and Claims Administration

    • Administer employee advances and claims.
    • Verify and process claims in accordance with applicable policies.
    • Maintain accurate records of advances and reimbursements.

    General Administration

    • Assist with the general administration of the finance subsection.
    • Maintain financial files and documentation.
    • Prepare financial reports and administrative records as required.

    Minimum Requirements

    Applicants must have:

    • A Senior Certificate (Grade 12) or National Certificate (Vocational) (NQF Level 4).
    • Four (4) years’ relevant experience in finance or a related field.
    • Proficiency in at least two official languages, one of which must be English.
    • South African citizenship (proof must be provided on the day of the interview).
