Job Description
The Systems Controller is responsible for managing and maintaining the integrity of VKB Milling’s financial and stock data within the company’s ERP and warehouse management systems. The role focuses on ensuring that stock movements are accurately recorded, system processes operate efficiently, and inventory control procedures are followed according to company policies.
The successful candidate will play a key role in warehouse operations, stock control, data management, and system administration, ensuring that information within Microsoft Navision, Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), and related platforms remains accurate and reliable.
Key Responsibilities
Inventory and Stock Control
- Monitor and control stock movements.
- Ensure all stock transactions are correctly documented and processed.
- Participate in monthly and periodic stock counts.
- Investigate and report stock discrepancies.
- Monitor stock returns, damaged stock, and inventory variances.
- Process stock receipts and stock adjustments.
- Manage quarantine and release of stock.
Systems Administration
- Maintain and support Warehouse Management System (WMS) processes.
- Create and manage user profiles and passwords.
- Resolve system issues such as stuck pick groups and release processes.
- Configure and maintain product settings, FIFO controls, and location assignments.
- Perform stock enquiries and pallet tracking.
- Monitor stock-taking tasks and system integrity.
Data Management and Reporting
- Ensure accurate capture and maintenance of stock and financial data.
- Support the effective use of Microsoft Navision ERP.
- Analyse inventory information and identify irregularities.
- Generate and verify stock-related reports.
- Ensure data accuracy and compliance with company procedures.
Operational Support
- Stay informed of all product information and system changes.
- Assist warehouse and logistics teams with stock-related queries.
- Support management with inventory investigations and process improvements.
- Perform additional duties assigned by management.
Minimum Requirements
Qualifications
- Grade 12 / NQF Level 4.
- BCom Degree or equivalent qualification.
Experience
- 2–5 years of relevant work experience.
- Experience in warehouse management and stock control.
- Experience in a Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) environment.
Technical Skills
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong computer literacy.
- Experience with Microsoft Navision ERP systems.
- Knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
- Experience with Transport Management Systems (TMS) will be advantageous.
