Job Description
Auto Pedigree is seeking an energetic and sales-driven Vehicle Sales Representative to promote the company’s brand, generate new business, and achieve vehicle sales targets. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying potential customers, building relationships, conducting vehicle demonstrations, negotiating sales agreements, and ensuring excellent customer service throughout the sales process.
This role is ideal for individuals with strong people skills, a passion for sales, and an entrepreneurial mindset. Recent matriculants with sales potential are encouraged to apply, provided they meet the minimum requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Sales and Business Development
- Achieve daily, weekly, and monthly vehicle sales targets.
- Generate new sales opportunities through networking and prospecting.
- Develop strategies to grow and retain the customer base.
- Identify new revenue-generating opportunities.
- Promote the Auto Pedigree brand and products.
Customer Service
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships.
- Understand customer needs and recommend suitable vehicles.
- Manage customer expectations throughout the sales process.
- Resolve customer concerns and provide timely feedback.
Vehicle Demonstrations and Sales Process
- Gain detailed knowledge of vehicle specifications, features, and benefits.
- Conduct vehicle presentations and demonstrations.
- Accompany customers on test drives.
- Ensure all required documentation and driver’s licences are collected before test drives.
- Negotiate pricing and terms of sale.
- Successfully close sales transactions.
Showroom Management
- Assist in maintaining vehicle displays and showroom presentation.
- Ensure vehicles are presented professionally to customers.
Minimum Requirements
Qualifications
- Grade 12 (Matric).
Experience
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in:
- Sales
- Customer service
- Proven sales track record.
Licences
- Valid Code 08 driver’s licence.
- Own reliable transport.
Computer Skills
- Computer literate.
Advantageous Requirements
- Previous automotive industry experience.
- Knowledge of retail industry compliance requirements.
- Understanding of Auto Pedigree products and services.
- Ability to communicate in local languages commonly spoken in the area.
