Tender Description
The Department of Health Free State is inviting suitably qualified contractors for the removal and replacement of vinyl floor sheeting at Mofumahadi Manapo Mopeli Regional Hospital in the Thabo Mofutsanyane District.
The project involves removing existing floor coverings and installing new, durable vinyl flooring suitable for a healthcare environment.
Scope of Work
The successful contractor will be responsible for:
- Removing existing vinyl floor sheeting from the designated areas.
- Safely disposing of removed flooring materials.
- Preparing the existing subfloor for the new installation.
- Conducting moisture testing where required.
- Supplying suitable new vinyl floor sheeting.
- Installing the new vinyl flooring to the required standards.
- Ensuring flooring is suitable for hospital environments.
- Maintaining appropriate hygiene and infection-control practices during the work.
- Ensuring the completed flooring provides a safe and durable surface for patients, staff and visitors.
- Managing the work to minimise disruption to hospital operations.
Contractor Requirements
- Minimum CIDB grading: 1GB or higher.
- Only contractors meeting the required CIDB grading are eligible to submit bids.
- Bidders must use the official tender documentation issued by the employer.
- Contractors should have suitable experience in flooring installation and building maintenance works.
- Appropriate site supervision and construction management capacity is required.
- Contractors must comply with applicable occupational health and safety requirements.
- Personnel must be suitably skilled to undertake vinyl flooring removal, subfloor preparation and installation.
- Contractors must have the resources and equipment required to complete the project safely and efficiently.
Tender Submission Requirements
