Ampath Laboratories is looking for a reliable and experienced Motorbike Courier to join its Pelenomi Messengers team. This role is essential in ensuring the safe and timely transportation of medical specimens, laboratory reports, and parcels between healthcare facilities and laboratories.
As the face of Ampath on the road, you will play a critical role in supporting patient care by ensuring that diagnostic materials are delivered securely, accurately, and on time.
Job Description
The successful candidate will be responsible for collecting and delivering medical specimens, reports, and other healthcare-related items using a motorbike or company vehicle. The role requires a strong commitment to safety, professionalism, and excellent customer service while maintaining the integrity of sensitive medical materials.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect and deliver medical specimens, laboratory reports, and parcels safely and efficiently.
- Ensure specimens are transported according to company and healthcare standards.
- Maintain the integrity and confidentiality of medical items during transport.
- Follow assigned delivery schedules and routes.
- Build and maintain professional relationships with clients and healthcare facilities.
- Ensure compliance with road safety regulations and company procedures.
- Report any delivery issues or operational concerns promptly.
- Represent Ampath professionally at all times.
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 (Matric).
- Valid South African Code A driver’s licence.
- Minimum 5 years’ general driving experience.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English (read, write, and speak).
