    Job Purpose:

    To test, manage, and control the quality of raw wheat materials and optimize milling operations to ensure the final product meets company specifications and quality standards.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Functional AreaDuties
    Communication & DelegationEnsure effective team coordination and instruction within the milling team
    Raw Material HandlingOversee quality testing and handling of incoming wheat stock
    Technical PerformanceOptimize milling operations to meet production and efficiency targets
    Quality AssuranceMaintain adherence to company’s product specifications and standards
    Infestation & Hygiene ControlMonitor and control pests; enforce hygiene protocols in all mill areas
    Non-Conformance ReportingHandle and resolve quality complaints and non-conformance issues
    Performance StandardsMaintain high performance across all mill operations
    Quality Management SystemsImplement and uphold QMS procedures and documentation
    Mill MaintenanceConduct routine inspections and support mill maintenance activities

    Minimum Educational Requirements:

    QualificationStatus
    Matric / Grade 12Required
    GMF Qualified Miller CertificateMandatory

    Experience & Skills Requirements:

    • Prior experience in wheat milling operations (preferred)

    • Strong knowledge of milling processes, grain quality, and machine operation

    • Familiarity with food safety and quality control systems

    • Ability to troubleshoot, communicate effectively, and lead a small team

    • Experience working in a high-volume production environment is advantageous
