Job Description
Agritalent is recruiting on behalf of a leading agribusiness client seeking two qualified Wheat Millers for positions at its Free State milling sites. The successful candidates will be responsible for testing, managing, and optimising the milling of wheat into flour, ensuring raw material quality and final product output align with the company’s quality standards.
This role requires both technical milling skills and strong quality assurance capabilities, working within a fast-paced, hygiene-focused production environment.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and control raw material quality and flow
Oversee and optimise milling processes to meet production targets and quality specs
Monitor and implement quality assurance protocols
Control infestation and maintain hygiene standards
Handle internal and external non-conformance reports
Ensure adherence to functional and technical performance standards
Maintain and comply with quality management systems
Participate in and oversee mill maintenance and upkeep
Delegate tasks and communicate effectively with team members
Minimum Requirements
Grade 12 / Matric
Qualified Miller (GMF Qualification)
Key Competencies
Solid understanding of wheat milling processes
Attention to detail in quality and hygiene control
Good communication and team delegation skills
Familiarity with quality assurance systems
Technically minded with a problem-solving approach
Ability to work in a high-performance and regulated production environment
