Job Description
BUCO Bloemfontein is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Stock Controller to manage inventory control functions, monitor stock performance, and support efficient stock flow across the supply chain. This role is crucial for minimizing risk, optimizing space, and ensuring product availability.
Key Responsibilities
Review and validate daily, weekly, and monthly stock reports
Monitor and report on the cost of stock-outs
Manage supplier returns and ensure accurate documentation
Update and maintain the Cycle Counter schedule
Investigate and validate stock variances
Clear and resolve negative stock issues
Maintain and update bin locations for all inventory
Investigate and report on bad risk stock
Conduct and support regular stock takes
Run no stock, no demand reports to optimize inventory levels
Generate and manage deletion reports for obsolete items
Ensure all existing stock is correctly binned in the system
Monitor and report on stock performance trends
Provide variance data to the Operator for analysis
Share detailed 8-week cycle stock variance reports with operations monthly
Requirements
Strong understanding of stock control and inventory management systems
Excellent attention to detail and numerical accuracy
Ability to work with minimal supervision
Good communication and problem-solving skills
Computer literacy (ERP systems, MS Excel) advantageous
Prior experience in retail or warehouse inventory management is beneficial
