Job Description
We are seeking a friendly and professional Hotel Porter to join our hospitality team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering exceptional guest service, assisting with luggage, and performing basic operational duties. A welcoming attitude, attention to detail, and willingness to go the extra mile are key to success in this role.
Key Responsibilities
Greet and assist guests with luggage, packages, and other belongings
Engage with guests in a professional and friendly manner
Park and retrieve guests’ vehicles safely and efficiently
Support general operational duties including:
Setting up pool areas and loungers
Removing dishes and cleaning public areas
Assisting the Housekeeping and Front Desk teams
Promote and upsell hotel facilities and affiliated services
Provide timely assistance and information to guests when needed
Requirements
Minimum Requirements:
Matric Certificate (Grade 12)
Valid Driver’s License with PDP (Professional Driving Permit)
Physically fit and able to stand or move throughout the shift
Willing and able to work flexible hours, including:
Night shifts
Weekends
Public holidays
Skills & Experience
Previous experience in a similar role (advantageous)
Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
Excellent interpersonal skills and professional guest etiquette
Proactive and able to handle complaints efficiently
Willingness to support other departments as needed
