JOB DESCRIPTION
The Salesperson is responsible for driving sales, meeting targets, and delivering excellent customer service within the automotive parts environment. The role focuses on building strong customer relationships, understanding product needs, and growing the business through new and existing clients.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Sales & Revenue Growth
- Achieve and exceed sales targets set by management
- Generate new business and grow the customer base
- Increase market share within the assigned geographical area
- Plan, forecast, and report on sales opportunities
Customer Service & Relationship Building
- Act as the first point of contact for customers
- Provide professional, confident, and helpful service
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships
- Handle customer queries, complaints, and account issues
Sales Operations
- Manage counter sales and inbound customer enquiries
- Provide quotations, pricing, and product information
- Conduct cold calling when required
- Report competitor pricing and market activities
Product & Technical Support
- Provide accurate product knowledge and recommendations
- Understand customer needs in automotive parts/spares
- Support customers with technical and product-related queries
Team Collaboration
- Work closely with Accounts, Dispatch, Warehouse, and Technical teams
- Ensure smooth service delivery and reduced customer complaints
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications
- Grade 12 (Matric)
Experience
- Minimum 2 years’ sales experience in:
- Automotive parts / spares / motor / engine environment (Essential)
- Proven sales track record
ADVANTAGEOUS
- Technical background in automotive field
- Strong understanding of automotive products
