    Job Description

    The Risk Practitioner will assist with the development, maintenance, and implementation of risk management processes and documents within the Department. The successful candidate will support risk identification and assessment activities, maintain the consolidated risk register, promote risk awareness, and monitor the implementation of risk management processes.

    The role will also provide administrative, secretarial, logistical, and support services to the Risk Management Committee.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Assist with the development, maintenance, and implementation of:
      • Risk Management Strategy
      • Risk Management Framework
      • Risk Management Policy Statements
      • Risk Plan
      • Risk Policy
    • Facilitate risk identification and assessment workshops.
    • Maintain and update the Department’s consolidated risk register database.
    • Conduct risk awareness programmes.
    • Monitor and review the implementation of risk management processes.
    • Prepare and monitor Operational Monitor Reports.
    • Report on performance against the Risk Management Implementation Plan.
    • Assist with secretariat duties for the Risk Management Committee.
    • Compile and maintain Risk Management Committee minutes.
    • Maintain attendance registers.
    • Provide logistical and administrative support to the Risk Management Committee.

    Requirements

    • National Senior Certificate / Matric.
    • An appropriate National Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree at NQF Level 7 in one of the following:
      • Risk Management
      • Internal Audit
      • Accounting
      • Economics
      • Compliance Management
    • Valid driver’s licence.
