    About the Role:


    The Human Resources Partner is responsible for executing the HR frontline implementation, enablement, and delivery of the people agenda for a Business Unit or Region within MTN SA. This role requires supporting operational and commercial excellence through effective HR strategies and solutions within a dynamic telecommunications environment.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Implement and manage people strategies including organization design, workforce planning, performance management, talent management, and leadership development.

    • Facilitate employee relations processes such as disciplinary hearings, grievances, and appeals in line with MTN policies and labor legislation.

    • Support recruitment, selection, onboarding, and exit processes, ensuring compliance and employee engagement.

    • Monitor and report on HR metrics, provide insights on talent development, succession planning, and workforce analytics.

    • Ensure compliance with Employment Equity targets and HR policies.

    • Support remuneration management and cost control aligned with business objectives.

    • Act as a key HR generalist, providing consultative support to business units and promoting a positive employee culture.

    • Collaborate with HR peers and COE functions to deliver integrated HR solutions.

    • Manage governance, risk mitigation, and participate in tactical meetings related to HR initiatives.

    Requirements:

    • Minimum 3-year tertiary degree/diploma in Human Resources, Behavioural Sciences, Business Studies, Management, or equivalent.

    • At least 3 years’ experience in HR within the telecommunications sector, with a focus on organization development, performance and talent management, and workforce planning.

    • Proven experience in partnering with clients to solve business challenges using HR practices.

    • Strong project management skills and experience working across diverse cultures and geographies.

    • Excellent consultative, analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

    • Ability to operate effectively within a fast-paced, matrix organizational structure.

    Competencies:

    • Expertise in talent sourcing, performance management, employee relations, and labor legislation
