Job Purpose
The Manager: Service is responsible for leading and managing the service department to ensure efficient workshop operations, high-quality vehicle repairs, strong customer satisfaction, and achievement of labour sales, profitability, and operational targets, in line with OEM and Motus standards.
Key Responsibilities
Service Department Operations

Manage daily workshop operations, including job scheduling and technician allocation

Monitor work progress and ensure repairs and maintenance meet quality standards

Ensure efficient equipment, asset, and administration control
Performance, Targets & Profitability
-
Exceed labour sales and workshop performance targets

Monitor and analyse KPIs to improve efficiency, cost control, and productivity

Implement corrective actions where performance gaps exist
Customer Experience & Retention

Ensure the highest levels of customer satisfaction and retention

Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, vendors, and internal departments

Achieve industry-leading customer care standards
Compliance & Governance

Ensure compliance with OEM, Lindsay Saker, and Motus policies

Adhere to safety regulations and industry guidelines

Minimum Qualifications & Experience
Qualifications
-
Recognised Motor Trade qualification plus N6 or Technical Diploma
Experience
-
Minimum 5 years experience in a supervisory or management role within the automotive service industry
Licensing & Systems
-
Valid driver’s license

Proficiency in MS Office and service management systems
-
Experience with OEM/VWSA operating systems – essential
