Salary Package
- Salary: R1,155,099 per annum (all-inclusive)

Job Description
This is a senior nursing management role responsible for overseeing the entire nursing service within a district or facility. The focus is on ensuring high-quality patient care, operational efficiency, and compliance with healthcare regulations.
You will lead nursing teams, manage resources, and drive the implementation of healthcare policies and programmes.
Key Responsibilities
Nursing Service Management
- Oversee delivery of holistic patient care services
- Ensure care is efficient, cost-effective, and equitable
- Manage overall nursing operations within the institution/district
Leadership & People Management
- Lead and supervise nursing staff
- Manage HR functions (staffing, performance, development)
- Provide strategic leadership and direction
Operational & Financial Management
- Manage budgets and resource allocation
- Ensure efficient use of financial and human resources
Policy & Compliance
- Develop and implement nursing policies and procedures
- Ensure compliance with healthcare legislation and ethical standards
- Maintain professional nursing standards
Strategic Planning
- Support achievement of organisational goals
- Monitor and evaluate healthcare programmes and services
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 (Senior Certificate)
- Diploma/Degree in Nursing
- Registration with the South African Nursing Council as a Professional Nurse
- Current SANC registration (2026/2027)
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 10 years nursing experience after registration
- At least 10 years at management level (as specified in the advert)
- Minimum 5 years experience in Primary Health Care (PHC)
- NIMART training (recommended)
- Experience in PHC Re-engineering (advantage)

- In-depth knowledge of healthcare legislation, including:

- Understanding of public service frameworks (labour laws, policies)
