Job Description
The Personal Link is seeking an experienced Farm Foreman to oversee and coordinate all day-to-day farming operations. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring effective management of livestock, crop production, irrigation, and maintenance of farm equipment, while maintaining a safe and productive environment.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the daily operational activities of the farm.
Supervise and ensure proper livestock management, including feeding, health monitoring, and breeding practices.
Oversee maintenance and repairs of farm equipment and infrastructure.
Manage and monitor irrigation systems to ensure optimal water usage.
Coordinate and oversee crop cultivation, including planting, spraying, and harvesting.
Implement fire management and prevention strategies.
Monitor staff performance and provide guidance to ensure productivity and compliance with safety standards.
Maintain accurate records and reports on farming operations.
Requirements, Skills, and Qualifications
Agricultural tertiary qualification (advantageous).
Proven experience in farm management or foreman role.
Technical knowledge of agricultural equipment and machinery.
Computer literate (basic record-keeping and reporting skills).
Strong livestock management background.
Sound understanding of budget management and resource planning.
Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational abilities.
Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing farming conditions.
Remuneration
