Job Description
The Area Manager will be responsible for leading and managing multiple stores within the Riemland area. The role focuses on driving sales, delivering exceptional customer service, reducing stock losses, managing stock, ensuring operational efficiency and developing a high-performing team.
The successful candidate will act as a servant leader, promoting a positive team culture while ensuring that business goals and operational standards are achieved.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive sales by ensuring exceptional customer service and world-class store standards.
- Maintain the store image, presentation and promotion of stock.
- Ensure effective stock management and correct pricing of products.
- Implement promotional activities according to company guidelines.
- Minimise stock losses by ensuring compliance with security, stock and cash-handling procedures.
- Manage a low-cost business by driving efficiencies across the area.
- Ensure administrative duties are completed accurately and on time.
- Oversee area administration where required.
- Lead, train, coach and develop a dynamic team.
- Manage team performance and support a positive company culture.
- Oversee people management and employee support functions within the area.
Requirements
- Grade 12.
- A relevant tertiary qualification in Business, Retail Management or a related field would be an advantage.
- Ideally 3–5 years’ experience in a retail environment in a leadership or managerial role.
- Computer literate, with Microsoft Office and/or Google G Suite experience being an advantage.
- Valid Code 8 manual driver’s licence.
- Willingness to travel extensively.
