    Job Description

    The Creditors Assistant will provide administrative support to the relevant Accountant and assist with the efficient management of creditor-related functions. The successful candidate will be responsible for accurately processing financial documentation, maintaining creditor records, handling vendor queries and supporting the finance department with daily administrative and reporting activities.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Process credit applications accurately and on time.
    • Prepare and maintain creditor-related documentation.
    • Capture and process purchase invoices and credit notes.
    • Perform reconciliations, filing and archiving of financial records.
    • Compile creditor reconciliations and ensure account balances are accurate.
    • Handle and resolve creditor and vendor queries professionally.
    • Ensure applications comply with relevant legislation, regulations and company requirements.
    • Maintain and update vendor information according to company policies.
    • Support the Accountant with daily financial administration and reporting.
    • Maintain organised and auditable financial documentation.
    • Contribute to improving financial and administrative processes.

    Requirements

    • Grade 12 or NQF Level 4 qualification.
    • Experience in a financial environment will be an advantage.
    • Computer literate.
    • Intermediate-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
    • Ability to add value to existing functions and processes.
    • Ability to work effectively in a high-pressure environment.
