Tender Overview
The Free State Department of Public Works and Infrastructure is inviting Architectural Consultants to provide professional architectural services from Stage 5 (Construction) through to Stage 6 (Close-out) for the construction of Morena Tshohisi Moloi II Primary School in Harrismith.
The appointed consultant will assist with the completion of the construction project, ensuring that the work meets the required quality, legal, technical and professional standards.
Scope of Services
The successful consultant will be responsible for:
- Providing architectural services during the construction and close-out phases.
- Finalising construction documentation.
- Conducting site inspections and providing construction support.
- Monitoring quality assurance and compliance.
- Assisting with project completion and close-out documentation.
- Coordinating with contractors, project teams and other stakeholders.
- Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, standards and project specifications.
- Supporting project management and coordination throughout the project.
Key Requirements
- Registration with SACAP as a Professional Architect (PrArch).
- Proven experience in primary school construction projects or similar projects.
- Experience delivering projects from construction through to close-out.
- Professional Indemnity Insurance of at least R20 million.
- Relevant experience from similar projects completed within the last 7 years.
- Detailed methodology and approach aligned with the Framework for Infrastructure Delivery and Procurement Management (FIDPM).
- Availability of suitably qualified key personnel and resources.
- Ability to deliver the project within the anticipated 18-month project timeline.
- Compliance with all relevant legal and regulatory requirements, including:
- COIDA
- CIPC registration
- Tax compliance.
