About the Role
This is an entry-level apprenticeship designed for someone who wants to start a career as a qualified motor technician. You’ll work under the supervision of experienced technicians, assisting in vehicle diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance — while completing your MerSETA trade qualification requirements.
Key Responsibilities

Assist qualified technicians with diagnosing and repairing vehicles

Learn to use workshop tools and diagnostic equipment

Follow workshop safety procedures

Keep the work area clean and organized

Attend required technical and trade-level training sessions

Prepare for and pass level tests to advance in your apprenticeship

Carry out other workshop tasks as assigned
Minimum Requirements
- Matric (with Mathematics and Physical Science)
- N3 Certificate (accredited college)
- Valid, unendorsed driver’s licence
- Clear criminal record
- Interest in the automotive industry
