    • Position: Head: Finance – Northern Cape & Free State

     PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

    To lead and execute financial strategy within the business unit by translating financial plans into actionable outcomes that drive growth, profitability, and operational excellence. The role serves as a strategic partner to leadership, influencing decision-making and ensuring strong financial governance.

     KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

     Strategic Financial Leadership

    • Lead the implementation of finance strategy aligned to business goals
    • Provide financial insights to support decision-making and growth
    • Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership

     Financial Management & Performance

    • Oversee financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting
    • Analyse financial performance and identify improvement opportunities
    • Ensure strong cost control and value management

     Business Partnering

    • Collaborate with business units to drive commercial performance
    • Influence stakeholders using data-driven insights
    • Embed financial discipline across operations

     Leadership & Team Management

    • Lead and develop a high-performing finance team
    • Provide direction, mentorship, and performance management
    • Foster a culture of accountability and innovation

     Governance & Compliance

    • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and policies
    • Oversee financial reporting accuracy and integrity
    • Manage risk and uphold internal controls

     MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

    • Postgraduate Degree in:
      • Finance
      • Accounting
      • Business Commerce

    EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

    • 8–10 years’ experience in:
      • Finance business partnering OR
      • Financial/management accounting
    • Proven experience:
      • Working with senior stakeholders
      • Leading finance teams
      • Driving business value through finance
