JOB DETAILS
- Position: Shop Assistant / Cashier (x2)

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
To deliver excellent customer service by efficiently handling point-of-sale transactions, maintaining merchandising standards, and ensuring a positive in-store shopping experience.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Point of Sale (POS) Operations
- Process customer purchases accurately and efficiently
- Handle cash and payments safely
- Scan items and apply promotions correctly
- Assist customers with ClubCard rewards and sign-ups
Customer Service
- Provide friendly, professional service
- Act as a brand ambassador in-store
- Inform customers about promotions and products
- Ensure customers have a positive shopping experience
Merchandising & Store Maintenance
- Maintain shelves, displays, and stock presentation
- Ensure store cleanliness and housekeeping standards
- Follow visual merchandising guidelines
Stock & Product Knowledge
- Assist with stock management and replenishment
- Stay updated on:
- Products
- Promotions
- Store events
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education
- Grade 12 (Matric)
- Maths & English (50% or higher) – advantageous
Experience
- Retail or customer service experience (advantageous but not required)

- Basic numeracy and cash handling
- Good communication skills
- Customer service orientation

- Problem-solving ability
- Basic computer literacy
