Job Overview
The Regional Director will play a key leadership role within FNB Public Sector, focusing on business growth, strategic sales execution, customer experience, risk management and financial performance.
The role requires an experienced leader who can develop strong relationships with government stakeholders, provide strategic and industry expertise, identify opportunities for growth and ensure that business objectives are successfully translated into practical tactical plans.
The successful candidate will also lead teams towards high performance while fostering an inclusive, collaborative and innovative workplace culture.
Key Responsibilities
The Regional Director will be responsible for:
- Developing tactical plans to drive revenue and business growth.
- Defining and implementing the tactical sales strategy for the region.
- Translating strategic business plans into aligned and integrated tactical initiatives.
- Driving the implementation of the business transformation plan.
- Creating and maintaining an inclusive culture that supports employee engagement and performance.
- Providing subject matter expertise and thought leadership within the relevant area of responsibility.
- Building and maintaining mutually beneficial relationships with key stakeholders.
- Strengthening relationships with government and Public Sector stakeholders.
- Identifying and implementing innovative and integrated solutions that create value for clients.
- Developing policies, procedures, standards and frameworks that enhance sales, profitability and future-fit practices.
- Leading with strong product and sales expertise to facilitate high-performance levels across the region.
- Ensuring effective customer service solutions, systems and interactions that align with organisational values and service standards.
- Optimising the customer experience throughout the entire value chain.
- Implementing integrated risk management, governance and compliance frameworks.
- Demonstrating strong leadership through personal involvement, commitment and dedication.
- Managing expenditure planning and monitoring budget variances within approved parameters.
- Preparing budgets aligned with tactical delivery plans to ensure adequate financial resources.
- Driving ideas and initiatives that improve business performance and profitability.
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- A Finance-related NQF Level 7 qualification or Bachelor of Honours in Commerce.
- A valid RE 5 qualification.
- A valid driver’s licence.
- Own reliable vehicle.
- Applicants must reside in Bloemfontein or Klerksdorp.

- RE 1 qualification will be an added advantage.
