Tender Objective
The objective of this RFQ is to appoint a qualified service provider to repair an IDEXX Quanti-Tray Sealer used by the Vaal Central Water Balkfontein Analytical Services Laboratory.
The successful bidder must restore the equipment to full operational condition to support laboratory testing and analytical operations.
Scope of Work
The appointed service provider will be responsible for:
Equipment Assessment
- Inspecting the IDEXX Quanti-Tray Sealer.
- Diagnosing faults and operational issues.
- Identifying repair requirements.
Repair Services
- Repairing defective components.
- Replacing damaged parts where necessary.
- Restoring equipment functionality.
- Ensuring the machine operates according to manufacturer specifications.
Testing and Verification
- Conducting operational testing after repairs.
- Confirming equipment performance and reliability.
- Providing any necessary service reports.
Service Delivery Location
Repairs will be carried out for equipment located at:
Vaal Central Water – Balkfontein Analytical Services Laboratory

The bidder must provide:
Quotation Requirements
- Written quotation.

- Inclusion of all travel, labour, and delivery costs where applicable.

Briefing Session
- Attend compulsory onsite briefing if specified in the official RFQ documentation.
Skills and Experience Requirements
The bidder should demonstrate:
Technical Expertise
- Experience repairing IDEXX laboratory equipment, or
- Experience repairing laboratory analytical instruments and testing equipment.
Industry Knowledge
- Understanding of laboratory equipment operations.
- Familiarity with analytical and microbiological testing equipment.
Administrative Capability
- Ability to complete bid documentation accurately.
- Compliance with procurement requirements.
- Proper quotation preparation and submission.
Communication Skills
- Ability to communicate technical findings.
- Ability to provide service reports and recommendations.
