     Job Description

    You will:

    • Manage and maintain the university’s PeopleSoft system (used for HR, finance, student systems)
    • Ensure systems run smoothly, securely, and efficiently
    • Develop and integrate systems with other platforms
    • Support technical issues and system improvements

     Key Responsibilities

    1. System Administration

    • Manage Production, Test, and Development environments
    • Ensure system stability and uptime

    2. Infrastructure & Performance

    • Optimise servers and system performance
    • Monitor system health, usage, and security

    3. Security Management

    • Control user access and permissions
    • Perform system audits

    4. Integration (Very Technical)

    • Build and maintain integrations (APIs, REST/SOAP services)
    • Connect PeopleSoft with other systems

    5. Development

    • Work with:
      • PeopleCode
      • Application Engine
      • SQR
      • BI Publisher

    6. Support & Troubleshooting

    • Fix system issues
    • Analyse problems and prevent future errors

    7. Documentation & Governance

    • Maintain system documentation
    • Follow IT policies and compliance rules

     Minimum Requirements

    • Bachelor’s Degree in IT or related field (NQF 7)
    • At least 3 years experience in PeopleSoft
    • Oracle/PeopleSoft certification (required)
    • Experience with at least 2 modules:
      • HCM (HR)
      • Financials
      • Campus Solutions

     Advantage

    • DevOps (CI/CD pipelines)
    • Cloud / SaaS tools (e.g., Office 365 integration)
    • Experience in universities or large organisations
