Job Overview
Power Fashion is looking for a motivated and results-driven Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager in the daily operations of the store. The successful candidate will help ensure excellent customer service, effective staff management, stock control, and compliance with company standards while driving sales and maintaining a safe and well-organised retail environment.
This role is ideal for individuals with previous retail management experience who have strong leadership, organisational, and administrative skills.
Key Responsibilities
As the Assistant Store Manager, you will:
- Assist the Store Manager with the daily management of the store.
- Act as the Store Manager during their absence.
- Handle banking and cash management procedures.
- Oversee the cash office and ensure front-end controls are maintained.
- Ensure company standards for housekeeping and visual merchandising are met.
- Monitor and minimise stock loss and shrinkage.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures.
- Supervise, support, and manage store staff.
- Deliver excellent customer service.
- Implement sales initiatives to achieve store sales targets.
- Maintain store security and discipline.
Minimum Requirements
Applicants should have:
- Matric / Grade 12 (Mathematics will be an advantage) or an NQF Level 4 qualification.
- Previous experience managing people.
- Previous experience managing a retail department.
- Strong communication skills.
- Good administrative skills.
- Strong organisational and planning abilities.
- Decision-making skills.
- Leadership capabilities.
Preferred Qualifications and Experience
Preference will be given to candidates with:
- Previous clothing retail experience.
