    Job Overview

    Eduvos is seeking experienced language education specialists to develop academic content within the Humanities Department. The successful candidates will create study materials, assessments, and online learning content for students, specialising in one or more of the following languages:

    • Southern Sesotho
    • isiZulu
    • Afrikaans

    This role offers flexible working arrangements and is ideal for experienced teachers, language specialists, curriculum developers, and educational content writers with a passion for language education and learning design.

    Purpose of the Role

    The Academic Content Writer is responsible for developing, reviewing, updating, and maintaining high-quality learning materials and assessments that align with Eduvos academic standards and programme requirements.

    The role involves collaborating with subject matter experts and academic teams to create engaging and academically sound content for students.

    Key Responsibilities

    Learning Material Development

    • Develop new study guides and learning resources.
    • Create assessments aligned with curriculum outcomes and NQF standards.
    • Ensure content meets Eduvos academic and branding requirements.
    • Collaborate with subject matter experts and academic teams.
    • Follow content development and quality assurance guidelines.

    Quality Assurance

    • Submit content for moderation and review.
    • Incorporate feedback from moderators and reviewers.
    • Ensure academic accuracy, consistency, and quality.
    • Prepare materials for copy-editing and publication.

    Learning Management System (LMS) Support

    • Upload and release content on online learning platforms.
    • Manage and maintain module pages on Moodle or similar LMS platforms.
    • Develop interactive learning activities where required.
    • Support content integration into digital learning environments.

    Content Review and Updates

    • Review and revise existing learning materials.
    • Update assessments and resources to maintain relevance.
    • Resolve content-related academic queries.
    • Assist with module content management and ingestion.

    Minimum Requirements

    Qualifications

    Applicants must possess one of the following:

    • Master of Education (MEd)
    • Master’s Degree in African Languages
    • Master’s Degree in Linguistics
    • Relevant Master’s qualification in Language Studies
    • Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE)

    Experience

    • Minimum 2–3 years of teaching experience in:
      • Southern Sesotho
      • isiZulu
      • Afrikaans

    Experience should preferably be gained within:

    • Primary Schools
    • Secondary Schools
    • Formal educational institutions

    Advantageous Experience

    • Development of educational content and study materials.
    • Moodle or other Learning Management Systems.
    • Interactive online learning design.
    • Assessment development across various NQF levels.
    • Academic journal publications.
    • Curriculum development experience.
