Job Overview
Eduvos is seeking an Academic Content Writer with expertise in STEM Education (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) to develop and maintain high-quality learning materials and assessments within the Humanities Department.
The successful candidate will work with academic subject matter experts to create engaging, curriculum-aligned educational content for students while ensuring compliance with higher education quality standards and Eduvos academic requirements.
This position is ideal for experienced STEM educators, curriculum developers, instructional designers, and education specialists with strong academic writing skills.
Purpose of the Role
The primary purpose of this role is to provide content development and academic writing services by creating, reviewing, and updating learning materials, assessments, and online educational content in STEM-related disciplines.
Key Responsibilities
Learning Material Development
- Develop new study guides, learner resources, and academic content.
- Design and develop assessments aligned with programme outcomes and NQF requirements.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts through communities of practice.
- Ensure content aligns with Eduvos programme specifications and branding standards.
- Follow institutional content development guidelines and quality assurance processes.
Quality Assurance
- Submit content for moderation and academic review.
- Implement recommendations and feedback from moderators.
- Ensure academic accuracy, relevance, and consistency.
- Prepare content for copy-editing and publication.
Learning Management System (LMS) Administration
- Upload and release content on Moodle or similar LMS platforms.
- Manage and maintain module pages.
- Develop interactive learning activities where required.
- Support the integration of content into online learning environments.
Content Maintenance
- Review and update existing learning materials and assessments.
- Resolve content-related queries from academic teams.
- Maintain curriculum relevance and alignment with educational standards.
- Assist with content ingestion and module setup where required.
